Here comes another day There goes another way I’ll get a ticket yeah Yesterday I threw it away Yesterday I lifted up in the air I knew it today Yesterday I lifted up in the air
2.
Invincible 02:36
I haven’t felt this way in a while I’m moving back again I haven’t seen that smile on your face I’m moving forward now And I feel On my own again I don’t know What the ending is Here it comes On a train again I know this feelings gonna last Invincible I haven’t felt this way in a while It’s all I’ve got to run I haven’t seen The seasons change I’m moving forward now I haven’t said these words in a while It’s all I’ve got today And I’ll never know The reasons why I’m moving forward now
3.
Oh I just can’t believe it When you say what you’ve got to say Oh just need a bit of protection Out in the rain can’t stop this pain Oh oh I just can’t believe it When you say what you got to say Oh the art of relaxation I’m on a beach, can’t get to sleep Punch the clock it's half past eight All your talk has made me late Thoughts are spinning round like boomerangs Try not to think about the things That cause you pain and make you hate Coz you don’t know Coz you just wont show Oh yes I know I’m lazy And it drives me crazy Never seem to get things done Oh yes I know I’m lazy Thoughts are turning hazy Never seem to get things done
4.
I saw you by a car It was never much to me I ran inside your house And held my thoughts too close I didn’t know what to do So I picked up a glass of wine And the next thing that I knew I was flying across the room When I see you by the sideboard I’ll paint a picture of your next move And when I was awake I found myself by your side So I slipped up to the roof And lay inside a rug And reached out for a smoke I didn’t have a clue And the next thing that I knew I was flying across the room
5.
Could be wrong but I feel just like I’ve been slowly stolen away It’s been too long she said And now there’s nothing left Only a sense of shame Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Could be wrong but I feel just like I’ve been slowly fading away What’s right is wrong she said And now there’s nothing left Only myself to blame Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Well you blew it, didn’t ya? Simply having fun And you knew it, didn’t ya? A four pack in the sun Could be wrong but I feel just like I’ve run out of things to say It’s been too long she said And now there’s nothing left Only a sense of pain
6.
Looking Back 02:16
Your eyes lit up my mind And I forgot what I wanted to say Walked down to the underground And argued all the way Looking back I wish I played it So differently Looking back I wish I hadn’t taken it So personally The sun was shining brightly And the room seemed oh so cold And everytime I caught your eye I felt a shiver to my bone
7.
I kept these feelings in a jar And thrown away the key I don’t know how I got this far Or what it means to me I saw you by the curtain with your hands by your side It felt so very normal Got no time to realise I saw you in a photo with your hair to one side It seems extraordinary But this is what you find I found you in the kitchen your face so frozen wide It didn’t seem abnormal Got no time to decide I left you by the roadside was so calm no fear inside It seems extraordinary But what a time to be alive
8.
Start Again 04:27
Say hello to who you are and all you want to be Everything's not looking good think I’m going to have to be Only joking nothings new so here we go again Got to find another way of getting out of my head It’s gone too far It’s not so hard It’s gone too far It’s not so hard But hey! If we find the right lines it’ll be okay And we can start again Say goodbye to who you are and all you want to be Everything’s been done before, but not so recklessly All these broken words you say well here they come again Got to find another way of getting out of my bed But hey! If we find the right lines it’ll be okay And we can start again On and on and on it shines And I feel like I'm two foot tall And I feel like I'm oh so small

about

Combining classic pop tunes with soaring guitars, heartfelt lyrics and a dash of psychedelia, One For The Road's finely crafted songs take inspiration from a range of pop and alt rock acts such as Orange Juice, R.E.M., Happy Mondays, Talk Talk, Daft Punk, Kate Bush, Pavement, Blur and The Human League.

"A mini-collection of psych rock nuggets with guitaring jangles and cosmic melodic tangles" - Simon Williams, NME & Fierce Panda Records

"Irresistibly catchy" - Music Crowns

"The perfect soundtrack" - Gigwise

Songwriting brothers Andy & Dave Macleod's first foray into the music industry came about when The Office creator Ricky Gervais managed their fledgling group The Pointy Birds alongside Britpop luminaries such as Suede and Echobelly.

Thereafter Andy & Dave teamed up with French drummer Guillaume Boisselet, guitarist Sean Phillips and occasional Moog keyboardist Phil 'The Albino Priest' Ward - on loan from highly acclaimed electronic music act Lo Fidelity Allstars - to form Big Slice.

Nainesh Shah later joined as a producer as well as to perform bass and backing vocals.

"Heartwarming with a great pop feel" - Fame Magazine
